Dryad - Patch Knife - Colonial Williamsburg Handle

$225.00

Whisper of the woods. Keeper of the small things.

Named for the tree-bound nymphs of Greek lore, the Dryad is the Oread’s smaller kin — a blade meant for the quiet, necessary tasks that stitch camp life together. Where the Oread walks boldly into the wild, the Dryad moves with subtlety, trimming, carving, and tending to what matters close at hand.

🔱 Steel & Edge
Forged from reclaimed 15N20 saw steel with its natural nickel shimmer, the Dryad carries a legacy in its edge. Hardened to 61 HRC and tempered back to 58 HRC, it walks the line between razor keenness and working durability.

A high convex grind and slender 1/16" stock turn the blade into a laser — light, precise, and eager for fine work. At 3.5 inches, it breezes through camp chores, food prep, firecraft, and carving, yet its size and agility make it just as fitting for everyday carry.

🌲 Handle & Heritage
Here the Dryad breathes with deeper roots.

The handle is carved from stabilized endgrain cedar collected (with permission) from Colonial Williamsburg, where living history still creaks across brick streets and timber frames. This is wood grown in the shadow of a city where ideas sharpened into revolution, where artisans and tradespeople shaped a nation with their hands long before independence was inked on parchment.

Endgrain cedar, rich with character and sealed for strength, meets black liners for contrast and brass pins for structural integrity. At 4 inches, the handle feels compact yet confident — a precise, nimble extension of your hand.

🛠️ A Blade That Belongs
The Dryad is not for grand gestures — it is for the close work, the details, the companionable tasks that fill the spaces between adventures. On the trail or in daily life, it’s the tool that proves the old truth: the smallest blade is often the one most reached for.
